MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Sophomore left-handed pitcher Harrison Musgrave earned multiple awards on Monday afternoon for his performance in a shutout victory over Texas Tech last Friday evening at Appalachian Power Park.

He was named a Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week, while also earning Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honors.

Against Texas Tech he fanned a career-high 13 batters in 6.2 innings, allowing no runs on two hits for his second-consecutive Big 12 victory.

Musgrave’s 13 strikeouts were the most in the Big 12 this season and the most by a WVU pitcher since March 2004. He also combined to snap a Texas Tech streak of not being shutout in 76 consecutive road Big 12 games, a conference record.

In his two Big 12 wins (Kansas State, Texas Tech), Musgrave is 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA in 13.0 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with 19 strikeouts.
