MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia women’s soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown will serve as an assistant coach at the U.S. U-20 National Team training camp in Carson, Calif., from April 13-20.

“Any time you can wear your country’s colors, it’s an honor,” says Izzo-Brown, the 2012 Big 12 Coach of the Year. “I am looking forward to a strong week of training some of our nation’s best soccer players. I am excited to contribute and help U.S. soccer in any way possible.”

The U-20 team will come together for the third time this year, training next week at The Home Depot Center that will be run concurrently with a U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team camp. A pair of scrimmages against each other will take place on April 16 and 19.

New U-20 head coach Michelle French, along with Izzo-Brown’s assistance, are identifying player talent and working on player development for the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Canada.

No stranger to USA soccer, Izzo-Brown has served as an assistant at U.S. Women’s National Team training camps with U-18, U-20 and U-23 squads.
