will be the only Mountaineers competing in the 119th edition of the Penn Relays, with all four running in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 8 p.m., on Thursday at Franklin Field.
In her last time competing in the steeplechase, Hamric shattered the school record by placing seventh in section two of the event with a time of 10:17.58 at the Stanford Invitational. Hamric’s time currently ranks No. 3 in the Big 12, No. 10 in the east region and No. 22 nationally.
The throwers will see action on Friday and Saturday in Ashland, Ohio. Last weekend, Heather Adams
recorded two top-5 finishes in the hammer throw and discus. Adams recorded a personal-best mark of 54.55 meters in the hammer throw for a third-place finish, while also recording a mark of 44.40 meters in the discus for a fifth-place finish. Adams’ personal-best hammer throw mark ranks No. 7 in the Big 12 and No.44 in the east region.
