MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University baseball sophomore Harrison Musgrave
has been named a Louisville Slugger NCAA Division I Second Team All-American.
Musgrave, who was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Year last Wednesday, is joined by 13 additional pitchers on the second team, including Oklahoma’s Jonathan Gray.
The sophomore lefty from Bridgeport, W.Va., completed the year with a 9-1 record, posted a 2.17 ERA and tossed three complete games. In 95.1 innings of work, Musgrave struck out 81 batters and allowed just 65 hits.
Musgrave is the Mountaineers’ first Louisville Slugger All-American since Jedd Gyorko in 2010 and the program’s first pitcher to be named a Louisville Slugger All-American since Chris Enochs in 1997.
