MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University rowing senior Courtney Schrand has been named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team.

“Courtney has had an outstanding year academically and athletically,” said coach Jimmy King. “Within our team, we often talk about one's body of work and Courtney's body of work speaks for itself. She is the embodiment of a West Virginia University student-athlete."

It is the second consecutive year that Schrand has been named CRCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region, as she was just the second rower in WVU history to be named to the CRCA All-Mid Atlantic Region First Team following the 2012 season.

In addition to her all-region team selection, Schrand has also garnered National Scholar-Athlete recognition from the CRCA, All-Big 12 First Team, C-USA All-Conference, C-USA All-Academic Team, C-USA Commissioner’s Medal and was part of the first varsity 8+ that earned two C-USA Boat of the Week honors and one Big 12 Boat of the Week honor.
