MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Three members of the West Virginia University swimming team swam on day four of the 2013 U.S. Open Swimming Championships in Irvine, Calif., on Friday.
After taking 21st place in the prelim swim of the 100 back, senior Bryce Bohman
became the first Mountaineer to final at the event, finishing 18th overall with a time of 56.20.
Junior Jenelle Zee
swam a lifetime best and moved up to a 32nd place finish in the 100 breast (1:12.28), while junior Max Spencer took 76th place in the 100 breast (1:06.25).
Senior Jake Querciagrossa
and junior Tim Squires
will swim in the 200 IM and 50 free, respectively, in the final day of competition on Saturday.
