The Mountaineers are coming off a 1-1 tie against High Point last Tuesday. Trailing 1-0, senior Craig Stephens scored the game-tying goal in the 79th minute on a flicked header off a cross by freshman Alex Ochoa.

WVU (5-6-2) dominated possession throughout the match and finished the game with a 29-7 shot advantage, as well as a 10-5 edge in corner kicks. The 29 shots ranks second all-time and is the most a WVU team has taken since it took 27 against Elon in 2012.

Junior Andy Bevin and sophomore Majed Osman are ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the team and in the Mid-American Conference in points. Bevin currently has 18 points (6 goals, 6 assists) with Osman closely behind with 15 points (5 goals, 5 assists).

After dropping its first five matches of the season, Georgia State (5-6-1) has won five of its last seven matches. Most recently, the Panthers dropped a 5-1 decision at UCF on Tuesday.

Stephen McGill, Amiri Abraham and Jamal Keene each have three goals to lead the scoring attack. Aaron Jones has a team-leading four assists.

Goalkeeper CJ Cochran has made 42 saves with a 1.86 goals-against average this season for Georgia State.
