Following unanimous approval from the West Virginia University Student Government Association, online student ticketing for the upcoming WVU men’s basketball season will begin Monday, Oct. 28 with the initial request phase for the first two Mountaineer home games.

WVU students will be able to log-in to their online student ticket account by clicking the Student Tickets tab on WVUGAME.com. Students will follow the same procedures as football for requesting, claiming and printing their men’s basketball tickets.

Students will be able to request a ticket in three different student seating areas of the WVU Coliseum; lower standing, lower seated and the upper level. These are the same student section areas as previous seasons, no changes were made to the WVU student section.
Additionally, eligible Mountaineer Maniac members will be able to request a ticket in the Maniac section within the lower standing area. A total of 2,300 student tickets will be available for each Mountaineer men’s basketball home game.

“Students are very excited to implement a new men’s basketball student ticket distribution system,” said WVU Student Body President Ryan Campione. “The Student Government Association and numerous student organizations are committed to creating a great game day atmosphere at the WVU Coliseum and we feel utilizing available technology to streamline the student ticketing process will help us achieve this goal. I would like to thank the SGA Board of Governors, Athletic Council Representatives, the Mountaineer Maniacs Executive Board and everyone who participated in this process.”

The initial request phase for the first two home men’s basketball games this season; Fairmont State on Monday, November 4 and Mount St. Mary’s on Friday, Nov. 8; will begin on Monday, Oct. 28. Similar to the online football ticketing process, students will have two days to request tickets and an additional two days to claim tickets. Tickets will remain available to students until all tickets are claimed or until tip-off of each game, if tickets remain.

Additional information on the men’s basketball student ticketing policy and distribution schedule is available on WVUsports.com. Questions from WVU students can be directed to onlineticketing@mail.wvu.edu.
