MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University Director of Athletics Oliver Luck announced the 2013-14 track and field schedule for the upcoming indoor and outdoor seasons.
“We’re excited about the challenges presented by this season’s track and field schedule,” says Director of Athletics Oliver Luck. “Coach Sean Cleary and his staff have laid the groundwork for this program to continue to progress and compete at the highest level.”
Cleary enters his seventh season as head coach of the Mountaineers in 2013, and his 22nd overall season with the program.
“We are very fortunate to have the backing from our department that allows us to devise a schedule that fits the needs of every student-athlete in our program,” Cleary says. “This schedule is designed to provide our kids the opportunities to run on various 300m tracks with similar field designs that compare to what we will see at the Big 12 Championships."
West Virginia kicks off its 2013 indoor campaign at the YSU Icebreaker in Youngstown, Ohio., this Friday, Dec. 6, before traveling to the PSU Relays in State College, Pa., on Saturday, Jan. 11.
