Signing Day is Here!
It’s national signing day and the faxes are starting to roll in. Fax No. 1 arrived from the top-rated prospect in Pennsylvania, defensive back Dravon Henry, at 7:04 a.m.
Be sure to catch all of the latest signings as they come in today on our Signing Day Special page, and check out our live Signing Day Special, presented by United Bank, beginning at 8 a.m.
We will also be blogging live from the Puskar Center until at least noon.
While the faxes come in, here is some light reading to pass the time:
7:47 A.M. Update
Four letters have been received so far, including one that had not been previously reported in 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive lineman Dontae Angus from Martin Luther King High in Philadelphia. I am told Angus had an offer from Florida before signing with the Mountaineers. Besides Angus and Henry, the other two letters to come in are Florida wide receiver Lamar Parker and Florida defensive lineman Tyree Owens.
8:04 A.M. Update
Two more letters have come in: linebacker Xavier Preston and wide receiver Jacob McCrary, two more Florida players. That makes four Florida players already in by my count. Read all about them here ... http://www.wvusports.com/signingday/.
One of the assistant coaches told me that recruiting Dravon Henry was one of the most pleasant recruiting experiences he's ever had, "He's a very low key guy for being such a highly rated player," he said.
8:13 A.M. Update
Already approaching 2,000 views on our Signing Day Special live stream. WVU Director of Athletics Oliver Luck is scheduled to go on live at 8:30 a.m. to give us a department update.
8:22 A.M. Update
These guys make it happen. In the back is WVU Director of Compliance Harley King, who must make sure every letter-of-intent is OK before passing it along to WVU Director of Football Communications Mike Montoro. Once Mike gets the green light from Harley, he sends out the information to the media. So far we've got six letters in.

9:37 A.M. Update
Ten letters have now arrived, including offensive lineman Yodny Cajuste from Hollywood, Fla. I am told that the coaching staff is really excited to have Cajuste in the fold because he is a real diamond in the rough. One name I heard being thrown around as a comparison was Renaldo Turnbull in terms a sheer athleticism and raw athletic ability.
10:19 A.M. Update
As of now, West Virginia has 17 letters in, including the six early enrollees. The latest letter to come across was Avon, Ohio, offensive lineman Walter Rauterkus.

This was the view from the Puskar Center when North Carolina running back Donte Thomas-Williams made his announcement for WVU at his high school signing ceremony.
