Mountaineers Climb Rankings

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.  – The West Virginia women’s basketball team defeated Kansas State, 84-44, on Saturday, to climb to No. 13 in this week’s Associated Press Poll.
 Saturday’s win helped WVU to its eighth 20-win season in the last 11 years as it is currently 20-3 overall, with a 9-2 mark in conference play, and in second place in the Big 12 standings. The Mountaineers were ranked No. 17 last week. This week’s ranking is the highest WVU has been ranked since it was No. 12 on Nov. 19, 2012. The USA Today Coaches Poll will be released tomorrow afternoon.
The Mountaineers hit the road for a 7 p.m. matchup at Oklahoma on Thursday, Feb. 13, in Norman, Okla., and return home for a 1 p.m. tip with TCU on Sunday, Feb. 16, in a Play4Kay game presented by WVU Healthcare, at the WVU Coliseum. For a free printable ticket, visit WVUsports.com/pink.
