MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's soccer coach Marlon LeBlanc has announced a six-game spring schedule, highlighted by a game against the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer.
The spring season opens with a trip to Marshall on Friday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.
WVU then returns back to Morgantown to host Villanova on Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m., St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday, March 29 and Charleston (W.Va.) on Saturday, April 5.
The home portion of the schedule culminates with the annual alumni match on Saturday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m.
The match at Columbus on Sunday, April 27 at 11 a.m., will be the fourth-consecutive season WVU has played an MLS team. The past two seasons the Mountaineers took on Columbus, while battling New York Red Bull in 2011.
All home matches, with the exception of the Villanova match, will be played at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium and admittance will be free. WVU will take on Villanova at the Student Recreation Fields adjacent to the WVU Rec Center.
