MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team travels to Norfolk, Va., to take on Richmond on February 14 at 12:30 p.m., and Old Dominion on February 15 at 1 p.m.
The Mountaineers (1-3) are coming off their first victory of the spring, defeating Cal (Pa.), 5-2, on Feb. 7. West Virginia won the doubles point with the duo of sophomore Hailey Barrett

notching its first victory of the year and the No. 9-ranked tandem of freshmen Oana Manole
and Kaja Mrgole
recording its team-best third win.
In singles play, Mrgole leads the Mountaineers with a 3-1 record. In the fall, she led WVU with six victories. Manole and Barrett both enter the contest with two wins in singles play this spring.
The Mountaineers are 0-5 all-time against Richmond, with the last meeting occurring in 2007, when the Spiders downed WVU, 7-0. The Mountaineers are 1-7 against Old Dominion and have not met since 2000 when the Monarchs defeated WVU, 7-2.
Old Dominion’s Nika Khmolvska comes into the contest ranked No. 19 in the Atlantic Region, and the Monarch’s doubles pairing of Melissa Esnal Olguin and Nikol Hristova sit at No. 6 in the Atlantic Region.
