MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Fox Sports Network will broadcast the 2014 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship from the WVU Coliseum on a tape-delay basis.
ROOT Sports Pittsburgh will air the meet locally on Friday, March 28, at noon.
“We’re very excited to showcase WVU gymnastics this Saturday, and we’re thrilled that our fans have another opportunity to watch us compete on TV,” says Mountaineer coach Jason Butts.
Three-time Olympian John Roethlisberger will cover the play-by-play, while 2008 Beijing Olympian Alicia Sacramone will serve as the analyst.
Additional air dates and affiliates will be announced at a later date.
The 2014 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship is the first-ever Big 12 sponsored event to be held on the WVU campus. The meet, featuring the Mountaineers (6-9, 0-2 Big 12), No. 3-ranked Oklahoma (15-2, 2-0 Big 12) and Iowa State (4-10, 1-1 Big 12), is set for this Saturday, March 22, at 4 p.m. The Sooners own 12 conference titles, including the last two.
Tickets are on sale now through the Mountaineer Ticket Office and can be purchased online at WVUGAME.com, by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME, or by visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the Coliseum. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for youth, and groups of 10 or more can receive a special group rate of $2 per person. Additionally, tickets are free for all Big 12 Conference students with a valid student I.D.
