Baseball Travels to Penn State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The WVU baseball team will travel to Penn State on Tuesday, April 8 for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch.
WVU (16-11, 2-3 Big 12) is coming off a weekend in which it was swept at TCU. Junior center fielder Bobby Boyd leads WVU with a .348 batting average, while senior first baseman Ryan McBroom and junior second baseman Billy Fleming are each hitting .343. McBroom has a team-leading six homers and 31 RBIs.
Penn State (15-14, 4-1 Big Ten) won two of three games last weekend at Purdue in conference play.
The Nittany Lions are led by senior outfielder Steve Snyder, who is batting .363 with three doubles and 12 RBIs. Sophomore outfielder Greg Guers and junior infielder J.J. White are tied for the team lead with 18 RBIs. Guers is leading the team with eight doubles and two triples, while White has a team-leading two home runs.
Neither team has announced a starting pitcher.
