MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia track and field team completed the first day of competition at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Lubbock, Texas, earlier tonight.
The 10,000 meters was the only running event that took place on Friday. Junior Allison Lasnicki
placed second with a time of 35:24.25 to earn a spot on the podium.
Sophomore Savanna Plombon
finished 10th overall (36:53.99) in her first action in the 10,000 meters this season.
Iowa State’s Katy Moen placed first in 35:06.54.
West Virginia is back on the track tomorrow for day two of competition. Senior Stormy Nesbit
will be the first Mountaineer in action, competing in the long jump at 4 p.m., ET.
