The top 12 finishers in each event at both the NCAA East and West Preliminaries held May 29-31 qualified for the finals.
"This meet is the culmination of 14 years of very hard work at the collegiate level by these young women," says coach Sean Cleary. "Combined they have been in collegiate competition for 14 years and today find themselves competing against the best young track and field athletes in the world."
Seniors Sarah Martinelli and Stormy Nesbit, as well as junior Allison Lasnicki will all be competing for an individual national championship.
"The NCAA Championships is the finest display of emerging talent that will feed directly into the Olympic games in 2016," Cleary says. "These three young ladies have done themselves, their team, university and the entire state very proud to be competing at this level.
"I am very proud to be with them on this trip. Over the next few days we will compete hard and take advantage of this great opportunity."
