Sports Communications Earns CoSIDA Awards

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University Sports Communications Office was honored last week in Orlando, Fla., at the 2014 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Workshop, capturing five awards for Excellence in Publications. The five publications awards WVU received rank as the sixth-most awards earned among Division I schools.
 
The 2013 WVU football poster was second in the nation among football posters nationally. WVU’s football game program captured third in the nation in the football game programs category. The Mountaineers’ 2014 baseball poster was judged eighth in the nation in the winter/spring sports posters category.
 
The 2013-14 WVU women’s basketball guide captured second in the nation among women’s basketball guides, and the WVU men’s basketball guide was fourth in the nation in the men’s basketball guide category.
 
Also, Michael Fragale, Associate Athletic Director for Communications, was honored with a 25-Year Award by CoSIDA.
