Women's Basketball

The women's basketball team hosts a pink game every year where players and fans are encouraged to wear pink to raise Breast Cancer awareness. The initiative is now called the "Play4Kay" game and regularly draws outstanding support from the Morgantown community.
WVU Medicine will distribute 5,000 pink towels at the game to help pink out the Coliseum.

Date: Saturday, Feb. 6
Time: 1 p.m.
Started in 2013, the gymnastics team host the annual "Wendy M. Roach Invitational" to honor the mother of former WVU gymnast and current student assistant, Nicole Roach. All competing teams wear pink leotards and fans are encouraged bring various sundry items to donate to the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center. In addition, 500 pink towels will be distributed to fans at the gate.

Women's Soccer
Every spring the women's soccer team hosts a 4v4 tournament where youth and adult teams come together to raise money for the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center at WVU's Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. The event has raised over $110,000 in over 12 years. A check is presented at the annual "pink" game where WVU wears pink uniforms each fall.

The volleyball team has an annual tradition of participating in 'Dig Pink' each October and the team wears pink jerseys and shoes.

Time: 6:30 p.m.
The WVU wrestling team will celebrate a cause that is personal for coach Sammie Henson and family when they host Cradles for Cancer. In helping to raise awareness for breast cancer, the Mountaineers will don pink socks and tape while the coaching staff will sport pink ties and will honor breast cancer survivors, including Stephanie Henson, during the match. Fans are encouraged to wear pink.
