Nathaniel Zinn joined the WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in 2005 and has been serving his current role as Sports Marketing Director since July 2012.

Zinn is responsible for the marketing, promotion and in-game entertainment of WVU’s ticketed varsity sports, while also assisting with game day promotional activities for football and men’s basketball. He also has been very instrumental and active in the department's social media efforts.

Zinn previously served as Assistant Sports Marketing Director from 2008-12. Prior to becoming Assistant Sports Marketing Director, Zinn worked in the WVU Sports Communications office as a graduate assistant from 2006-08. During that stint, he handled media relations for the WVU baseball, gymnastics, track & field and women’s soccer teams. A former Mountaineer walk-on football player from 2003-04, Zinn also was a student assistant in 2005-06 in the WVU Sports Communications office.

The Clarksburg, W.Va., native graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism (2006) and a master’s degree in sport management (2008).

Zinn is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators. He resides in Morgantown.
