Scott Herdzik enters his second season as an assistant equipment manager at WVU.

A native of Dunkirk, N.Y., Herdzik is responsible for acting as the equipment room’s liaison with Nike, facilitating all orders and returns and works daily with of the Mountaineers’ Olympic sports.

Prior to WVU, Herdzik served one year as the assistant athletic director for equipment and athletic operations at Episcopal High in Alexandria, Va. From 2007-09, he served as a graduate assistant in West Virginia’s football equipment room as he earned a master’s degree in sport management.

Herdzik earned his bachelor’s degree in childhood education from The State of New York College at Fredonia in 2006.

From 1996-2006, Herdzik worked as a summer camp equipment intern and game day equipment staff member with the Buffalo Bills.
