Patricia Harman joined the Student Services staff as an educational counselor in November 2011. Her responsibilities include developing a supportive, individualized approach for assisting student-athletes academically.

Previously, Harman served as an academic mentor with the West Virginia University Athletic Department from 2009-2011. She supported and assisted student-athletes in developing effective study habits as well as organizational and time management skills.

Since 2009, Harman has served as a consultant instructor through the West Virginia University Continuing and Professional Education Program in which she co-designed and team taught an online continuing education course.

Harman also served as a visiting lecturer for West Virginia University’s Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design from 2006-2010.

Harman has been serving children and adults with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities as a PATH certified instructor since 2007. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Parks Management and her Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from West Virginia University.
