Sports Marketing Director
Jennifer Kost joined the WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in July 2012 and will serve as sports marketing director. Kost is responsible for the marketing, promotion and in-game entertainment for WVU volleyball, wrestling and baseball, while also assisting with game-day promotional activities for football and men’s basketball.
Prior to her arrival, she was a member of the University of Wyoming Athletic Department staff since 2004.
A native of Powell, Wyo., Jennifer Kost joined the UW Athletics Department in 2004 as Coordinator of Marketing & Promotions after spending two years as a marketing intern. She earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing in May of 2002 and her MBA in 2004, both from the University of Wyoming.
Promoted to Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing in 2006, her duties include developing promotional campaigns including posters, schedule cards, billboards, splash pages, postcards and other marketing materials to drive ticket sales for events; developing advertising campaigns and slogans for newspaper, magazine, radio, television and social media outlets; developing concepts for intro videos and moving headshots; assisting with creative design elements and concepts for in-game video board features for corporate sponsorships; developing and executing on-field and on-court game promotions and presentations; developing and implementing marketing plans including promotional calendars for all 17 NCAA Division I sports; supervising marketing staff and interns, as well as the Spirit Squad program; overseeing budgets for the Marketing Department and the Spirit Squad program; coordinating gift-in-kind program for radio, newspaper, magazine, television and outdoor advertising.
Prior to joining the staff at Wyoming, Kost worked for the Colorado Rapids as a Marketing/Community Relations intern. Kost is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators.
