Jessica Delaney joined the WVU Athletic Department in September 2012, handling the day-to-day academic services for wrestling, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, tennis and rifle.

Delaney comes to West Virginia from North Carolina State, where she spent last year as an assistant academic coordinator. In that role Delaney met with student-athletes weekly for academic progress meetings to discuss study strategies and set educational goals.

Delaney also spent last year working as the national office intern for the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics. Her duties with the organization included serving as the point of contact and assisting with the planning and coordination of five regional conferences and the 2012 national convention.

While obtaining her master’s degree at North Carolina State, Delaney was an academic advising graduate assistant in the Office of Advising Support, Information and Services, as well as an academic coach with the Pack Promise Program.

Delaney earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on management from UNC Charlotte in 2008 and her master’s degree in higher education administration from North Carolina State in 2010.
