Director of Athletic Marketing
Markeisha Everett joined the West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in 2013 as sports marketing director.
She is responsible for the marketing, promotion, and in-game entertainment for volleyball, wrestling, men’s basketball and baseball, while assisting with the game-day promotions for football. She will also work closely with the ticket office to maximize sales efforts for all ticketed varsity programs.
Previously, Everett served as a marketing specialist at Gonzaga University from 2012-2013. While at Gonzaga, she oversaw the marketing and promotions for 16 varsity programs, social media efforts, and revenue generation for six ticketed sports. Prior to that she served as the assistant director of marketing at the University of Missouri from 2010-2012, where she oversaw the marketing and promotions for soccer, wrestling, swimming and diving and softball. She also assisted with group sales and game-day production and promotions for men’s basketball and football.
Everett served as a marketing assistant at North Dakota State University from 2009-2010 where she assisted with the marketing and promotions of 16 varsity sports.
The Cleveland native graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in education (2008). She received her master’s degree in sport administration from West Virginia University (2009).
Everett is an active member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) and the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA).
She resides in Morgantown.
